From beach-sand soil to your garden
The goal has always been the same: finding ways to improve the health of our soil and our communities.
More than a century ago, our great-grandparents left the fertile soils of their homeland and settled on land where the soil was as loose and sandy as a beach — ground that drains in minutes and holds almost nothing. Through hard work and traditional practices like vermicomposting, they proved that even the most challenging soil can be restored and made productive.
At Old Plow, we carry that tradition forward. By working with nature's most efficient soil builders — earthworms — we produce nutrient-rich worm castings that help gardeners grow healthier plants and build living soil for the future.

How we farm
Our commitment is to improve soil health and promote biodiversity through the power of earthworms and natural farming methods. In practice that means vermicomposting, organic fertilization, and crop rotation — the same practices that have been passed down through generations, done with a little more science behind them.
Nothing leaves the farm that we wouldn't put on our own beds.
Growing more than castings
